50 days and counting!....

Until we set sail!! .... Before Chris and I became parents, we took a cruise to The Keys and Cozumel. We enjoyed it so much we decided to sail again! However, this time- to different ports of course!

With the new job and the new business and all the work I already have lined up for us this year -the only month we would be able to get away- that was not around the holidays, (well besides Easter) was in April. Usually I plan for a trip 9-12 months in advance. Stress over planning but at the same time- enjoy having a trip to look forward to. This time we planned it for less than 60 days. I must say- The cruise is paid for- the flight is paid for, the rental cars are paid for. All we have left is the hotel ( which has been reserved) spending money (of course) and excursions. Its a good feeling just being able to focus on the getaway it-self. I have cabin fever- All I want are blue sunny skies- and hot hot heat =)

Our love story..

In honor of Valentines Day, I am going to start this blog out with our love story.

I was 19 when I met Chris, an old high school "friend" of mine, happened to be dating his best friend for a few weeks. We were supposed to be introduced to one another one evening, but Chris was stuck at work and I had plans later on in the evening. About a week later. Me and the ladies ( old friends from a long time ago) were going out for a ladies night in Windsor. At 19, that was about our only place to "go out" haha.

One of our old favs to go to was "Bentleys"... we ended up going into that Bar and ended up running into Chris, Mike ( one of his best friends) and the girl I was friends with. Ever since then, We have been two peas in a pod! Chris and I have been together for over 10 years now. Married for 8 of them. When people ask us how we met, we both simply reply "in a bar" haha.... even though we really did not truly "meet" at the bar. lol

Although many people see it as a "Hallmark Holiday", V-day is one of my favorite holidays. I still have the pink teddy that Chris gave me on V-day- just a few short days after we started "dating" officially. The bear sits on a chair in our 18 month old daughters (Kenley) room. Everyday, I see that bear and it reminds me of our story of young love, and it seems like only yesterday we met.
